Spring into LEGO Creativity with These Fun Mini Builds
As the weather warms and nature begins to bloom, it’s the perfect time to dive into some fresh, seasonal LEGO builds. Whether you’re an avid builder or a casual hobbyist, spring provides plenty of inspiration for small, delightful creations that you can craft with ease and display proudly. From tiny birds to mini farms, these spring-inspired LEGO builds are simple to assemble, don’t require an abundance of bricks, and are a lot of fun to put together. Let’s explore some of these creative mini builds to get your LEGO spring season started!
Build a LEGO Rainbow for Spring Showers
Rainbows are iconic in the spring, often following those refreshing April showers. Although I initially built this rainbow with St. Patrick’s Day in mind, it’s a timeless creation that fits perfectly with the spirit of spring. To build your own LEGO rainbow, start by placing a blue plate as the base. Then, stack white bricks at each end to represent fluffy clouds. For the rainbow itself, begin with purple bricks and work your way through the color spectrum. It’s a simple design, but one that will surely brighten up any LEGO setup!

Build a LEGO Bird and Nest: The Ultimate Spring Companion
Birds are one of the first signs of spring, and creating a cute LEGO bird along with a nest is an excellent way to celebrate the season. Here’s how to build your own tiny bird with a cozy nest.
Start with a 2 x 3 plate for the bird’s body, and add a 2 x 2 slope and two inverted slopes to form the bird’s tail and back. You can make your bird in any color, but I used tan for a neutral look. Next, grab a 1 x 2 tan brick and two 1 x 1 bricks with a stud on the side to create the bird’s wings.
For the head, begin with a 2 x 3 plate and add a 1 x 2 brick, two 1 x 1 bricks with studs, and a light orange slope for the beak. Attach some small eyes for added detail. To finish, add a 2 x 2 plate on top and attach the head to the body.
For the bird’s feet, two 1 x 1 plates with claws will do the trick, and finally, create wings using two 3 x 3 wedge plates. Now your bird is ready to perch!
Next, build the nest. Start with a 6 x 8 brown plate and add random bricks and plates to create the nest’s structure. For the eggs, I used 1 x 1 white round bricks, which add a lovely touch of realism to your miniature bird’s home.
Build a LEGO Spring Leaf: Nature’s Greenery in Brick Form

A spring leaf is a simple yet beautiful addition to your LEGO creations. Though I didn’t photograph detailed instructions for this one, it’s a straightforward design. Use green bricks and plates to represent the veins of the leaf, and select lime green bricks for the leaf itself. You can easily modify this design using whatever green bricks you have on hand, making it a flexible and customizable build. The leaf will be a lovely reminder of the changing season!
Create Your Own Mini LEGO Farm
For those who enjoy the charm of rural life, a mini LEGO farm is a delightful build. The barn and silo are easy to assemble, with the silo built from three 2 x 2 red round bricks stacked together, topped with a 2 x 2 white cone (truncated at the top for a realistic look).
The mini farm also needs some garden plants. To build these, you can simply use small green bricks and plates. For a quaint touch, construct a fence using 1 x 1 white round plates, 1 x 8 white plates, and 1 x 4 white plates. This little farm will evoke the warmth and simplicity of springtime on a countryside homestead.
Build a LEGO Flower: A Splash of Color

Spring wouldn’t be complete without flowers, and building a LEGO flower can add a vibrant touch to your collection. Choose your favorite colors for the petals and follow a simple assembly process. After constructing the flower, attach it to a stem using a green bracket. For the stem itself, use a jumper plate to secure the bracket, and voilà—a stunning LEGO flower ready to brighten your display.

LEGO Bunny and Carrot: A Springtime Classic
Of course, no spring collection would be complete without some adorable LEGO bunnies. While I’ve already shared instructions for a cute bunny and carrot in a previous post, it’s worth revisiting this charming design. Whether it’s for Easter or simply the spring season, a bunny munching on a carrot is a sweet addition to any LEGO setup.
